Love this place - super cool vibe and crowd whatever's going on. Burlesque, bingo, drag show, esoterotica, etc. Even during Times of COVID when most of the activity is the peep show, it's still a super cool format. This is one of those places that always makes you feel at home, with all its low-key, amped up energy. Doesn't matter who you are, as long as you can relax and enjoy offbeat and funky/sexy folks.
fun fun fun!
Everything a club in New Orleans should be! live brass band followed by a burlesque show for $5! WTF? Amazing! ranked #12 in the Gambit of top 50 bars in New Orleans. The only gay bar to make the list!
surprise!
I was surprised by my visit to the AllWays Lounge, pleasantly. After the disaster of a time at John Pauls where a patron told me the AllWays was dirty and punky I was hesitant, but adventurous. I stepped into the former cowboy bar expecting the worse, but having he best time of my trip! I saw the most entertaining variety show of my life! queers, queens, music, nudity and a friendly staff. cheap drinks too! skip the quarter, skip the Marigny (not the Phoenix though) and head straight to the AllWays.
The Only Place to go !
This bar is simply amazing. Great attitude for the performing arts ! The crowd is a mix of everything you would expect in New Orleans. It simply is a must see.
Great Bar!!!!
I was visiting New Orleans & decided to patronize Cowpokes. As a handicapped person in a strange place the personnel & clientele were very friendly, especially the bartender Lance. I would definiely visit this establishment again!
