Known as the best gay bar on NOLA's famous Bourbon St, this is the place to party day or night. With a huge dance floor, two bars upstairs, a giant video bar downstairs, and balconies, Bourbon Pub Parade is an event.

ground zero on the Fruit Loop ... I would never consider a visit to the FQ without checking in at this place at least once - if nothing else, just to visit my memories ...
Bartenders are not in form
I typically enjoy Bourbon, and after last night, will continue to do so, but with reservations. A friend was having a problem which could have been easily resolved by the bar staff. Now, I don't want to go into details for the sake of my friend's privacy. The bar staff was discourteous and not interested in helping. Rather, he was more interested in serving as many people as he possibly could, and in the meantime allowing my friend to deteriorate rapidly. In the end I had to support my friend out of the bar by myself, to a taxi- not a single person offered to help. At this point the wise-ass barman felt the need to holler at me, "Let go of him!" as he obviously thought I was trying to take advantage of him. Had he taken an interest in what was actually happening, he would have been able to help my friend and I wouldn't have had to single handedly manhandle him into a taxi. For this, I re-evaluate my rating of Bourbon from what used to be a 5 to a 1. This is poor, poor form. If only I had taken notice of the barman's name, I assuredly would be calling Bourbon today to demand him to be fired.
best NOLA Bar
Some of my best bar memories come from Bourbon Pub. It's always a great time, whether it's full-on Mardi Gras or Decandence, or just a regular weekend. Cute/Friendly bar-tenders. Fun/sometimes-frisky crowd. Can't wait for decadence. Oh...and it's really easy to score there.
not my scene
but I have to say the drinks were good, the service was better and the atmosphere was fun and lively! Definitely worth a visit.
Fun and friendly
Located just across from Oz on the corner of Bourbon and St. Ann this was my preferred bar. I think I liked it more than the others because 1) It was crowded 2) with all the doors that open to the street the smoking seemed to bother me less. Living in Boston - I'm no longer use to the smokey bar scene.
